About the rules

  1. Registering for the Artist Award is only possible through the registration form. After registering, the act will receive a confirmation by e-mail. By replying to this e-mail, the application will officially be registered and the concept will be published on the website.

  2. Registrations must be in English and received by 23:59h GMT+1/CET December 21th 2009.

  3. Registration applies only to the Interactive Awards of 2010. To entry the Award of 2011, the act must register again.

  4. All acts can take part in the Interactive Awards. Companies do not have the permission to take part of this Award. However, it is permitted to submit concepts which have been developed for the act by a third organisation, on condition that the act itself presents the concept. The concept must have been executed or in execution. By this, the jury can take the implementation of the concept in appraisal.

  5. Sending in concepts does not mean that the act has access to Noorderslag/Eurosonic.

  6. Delegates of the five nominees (maximum 2 persons per Act) for the Interactive Award will receive a passe-partout for the Noorderslag weekend.

  7. For any applicant knowingly providing false information on their registration the organisation reserves the right to exclude the act of participation.

  8. Important dates:

    • Start registration: 30th of October 2009
    • Closing date registration: 21th of December 2009
    • Publication of the five nominees who can prepare presentations for the jury: 23th of December 2009
    • Presentation five nominees: 15th of January 2010
    • Announcement winner: 15th of January 2010
  1. The jury criteria are: results, originality, potential for the future, presentation of the concept and an overall judgement of each member of the jury.

  2. On the 15th of January 2010 the presentations will take place during the conference session. On this date, a representative of the act must be present to clarify the concept for the professional jury. The presentation for the jury should be in English.

  3. The decision of the judges and audience will be final.

  4. All registrations will be published. This can include: publishing on Internet, by means of the press and seminars. Applicants are responsible for making appropriate arrangements to protect any intellectual property associated with their concept.

  5. By registering for the Interactive Awards, you agree to these terms and conditions.

  6. Each public rating per concept counts for 20%. This is equal to the rating of one jury member. The concept which get the highest amount of votes, earns a 10. The concept with the lowest amount of the votes will get a 5. The public rating from the other three nominated concepts will be individual calculated through the formula which is written below:

    Y = amount of votes
    Yh = highest amount of all votes
    Yl = lowest amount of all votes
    P = public rating per concept

    P = (Y + Yh – (2Yl)) / (0,2 x (Yh – Yl))
